KIF24
kinesin family member 24 | FLJ10933, FLJ43884, bA571F15.4, C9orf48

This gene encodes a member of the kinesin superfamily of microtubule-based motor proteins which are involved in the intracellular transport of membranous organelles, protein complexes, and mRNAs. They also play critical roles in mitosis, morphogenesis, and signal transduction. The encoded protein contains an N-terminal sterile alpha motif (SAM) domain and an ATP-binding kinesin motor domain. It binds centriolar coiled coil protein 110 and centrosomal protein 97 and localizes to the mother centriole to regulate ciliogenesis by controlling microtubule polymerization. KIF24 — as a Regulated Gene

TFs regulating KIF24 0 TFs

Transcription factors with Perturb-seq knockdown data for KIF24. The Binding column indicates whether any binding evidence exists for this TF–gene pair (ChIP-seq or motif footprint peaks). The Mean coef is the average Perturb-seq regression coefficient across active gRNAs (positive = KIF24 upregulated upon KD; negative = downregulated). The Outlier column indicates whether this gene is in the top or bottom 5% of all TF knockdown effects.

Elements linked to KIF24

Open chromatin peaks (ATAC-seq) in the genomic neighbourhood of KIF24, linked by TSS proximity or chromatin conformation (Multiome / HiCAR). Each element overlaps at least one TF ChIP-seq binding site — the TFs column shows how many distinct TFs bind that element.
