TUSC3
tumor suppressor candidate 3 | MGC13453, MRT7, MagT2, N33, OST3A, SLC58A2, MRT22

This gene encodes a protein that has been associated with several biological functions including cellular magnesium uptake, protein glycosylation and embryonic development. This protein localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum and acts as a component of the oligosaccharyl transferase complex which is responsible for N-linked protein glycosylation. This gene is a candidate tumor suppressor gene. Homozygous mutations in this gene are associated with autosomal recessive nonsyndromic mental retardation-7 and in the proliferation and invasiveness of several cancers including metastatic pancreatic cancer, ovarian cancer and glioblastoma multiform. TUSC3 — as a Regulated Gene

TFs regulating TUSC3 0 TFs

Transcription factors with Perturb-seq knockdown data for TUSC3. The Binding column indicates whether any binding evidence exists for this TF–gene pair (ChIP-seq or motif footprint peaks). The Mean coef is the average Perturb-seq regression coefficient across active gRNAs (positive = TUSC3 upregulated upon KD; negative = downregulated). The Outlier column indicates whether this gene is in the top or bottom 5% of all TF knockdown effects.

Elements linked to TUSC3

Open chromatin peaks (ATAC-seq) in the genomic neighbourhood of TUSC3, linked by TSS proximity or chromatin conformation (Multiome / HiCAR). Each element overlaps at least one TF ChIP-seq binding site — the TFs column shows how many distinct TFs bind that element.
