UBQLN2
ubiquilin 2 | CHAP1/DSK2, Chap1, Dsk2, LIC-2, N4BP4, PLIC-2, PLIC2, RIHFB2157

This gene encodes an ubiquitin-like protein (ubiquilin) that shares high degree of similarity with related products in yeast, rat and frog. Ubiquilins contain a N-terminal ubiquitin-like domain and a C-terminal ubiquitin-associated domain. They physically associate with both proteasomes and ubiquitin ligases; and thus, are thought to functionally link the ubiquitination machinery to the proteasome to affect in vivo protein degradation. This ubiquilin has also been shown to bind the ATPase domain of the Hsp70-like Stch protein. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2009]

UBQLN2 — as a Regulated Gene

TFs regulating UBQLN2 0 TFs

Transcription factors with Perturb-seq knockdown data for UBQLN2. The Binding column indicates whether any binding evidence exists for this TF–gene pair (ChIP-seq or motif footprint peaks). The Mean coef is the average Perturb-seq regression coefficient across active gRNAs (positive = UBQLN2 upregulated upon KD; negative = downregulated). The Outlier column indicates whether this gene is in the top or bottom 5% of all TF knockdown effects.

Elements linked to UBQLN2

Open chromatin peaks (ATAC-seq) in the genomic neighbourhood of UBQLN2, linked by TSS proximity or chromatin conformation (Multiome / HiCAR). Each element overlaps at least one TF ChIP-seq binding site — the TFs column shows how many distinct TFs bind that element.
