NPY5R
neuropeptide Y receptor Y5 | NPYR5

The protein encoded by this gene is a receptor for neuropeptide Y and peptide YY. The encoded protein appears to be involved in regulating food intake, with defects in this gene being associated with eating disorders. Also, the encoded protein is involved in a pathway that protects neuroblastoma cells from chemotherapy-induced cell death, providing a possible therapeutic target against neuroblastoma. Three transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2015]

NPY5R — as a Regulated Gene

TFs regulating NPY5R 0 TFs

Transcription factors with Perturb-seq knockdown data for NPY5R. The Binding column indicates whether any binding evidence exists for this TF–gene pair (ChIP-seq or motif footprint peaks). The Mean coef is the average Perturb-seq regression coefficient across active gRNAs (positive = NPY5R upregulated upon KD; negative = downregulated). The Outlier column indicates whether this gene is in the top or bottom 5% of all TF knockdown effects.

Elements linked to NPY5R

Open chromatin peaks (ATAC-seq) in the genomic neighbourhood of NPY5R, linked by TSS proximity or chromatin conformation (Multiome / HiCAR). Each element overlaps at least one TF ChIP-seq binding site — the TFs column shows how many distinct TFs bind that element.
