MALRD1
MAM and LDL receptor class A domain containing 1 | Diet1, bA265G8.2, C10orf112

This gene encodes a conserved protein that features multiple MAM (meprin-A5-protein tyrosine phosphatase mu) and LDLR A2 (low density lipoprotein receptor A2) domains. Expression of this gene is enriched in the small intestine and is upregulated during differentiation of a human cell line that exhibits properties of intestinal epithelial cells. The encoded protein has been shown to modulate production of FGF19 in a human intestinal cell line and may regulate bile acid metabolism in the liver. A synergistic interaction between an allele of this gene and the APOE E4 allele is associated with an elevated risk of Alzheimer's disease in human patients. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2017]

MALRD1 — as a Regulated Gene

TFs regulating MALRD1 0 TFs

Transcription factors with Perturb-seq knockdown data for MALRD1. The Binding column indicates whether any binding evidence exists for this TF–gene pair (ChIP-seq or motif footprint peaks). The Mean coef is the average Perturb-seq regression coefficient across active gRNAs (positive = MALRD1 upregulated upon KD; negative = downregulated). The Outlier column indicates whether this gene is in the top or bottom 5% of all TF knockdown effects.

Elements linked to MALRD1

Open chromatin peaks (ATAC-seq) in the genomic neighbourhood of MALRD1, linked by TSS proximity or chromatin conformation (Multiome / HiCAR). Each element overlaps at least one TF ChIP-seq binding site — the TFs column shows how many distinct TFs bind that element.
