GTF2IRD2
GTF2I repeat domain containing 2 | FLJ37938, GTF2IRD2A

This gene is one of several closely related genes on chromosome 7 encoding proteins containing helix-loop-helix motifs. These proteins may function as regulators of transcription. The encoded protein is unique in that its C-terminus is derived from CHARLIE8 transposable element sequence. This gene is located in a region of chromosome 7 that is deleted in Williams-Beuren syndrome, and loss of this locus may contribute to the cognitive phenotypes observed in this disease. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2013]

GTF2IRD2 — as a Regulated Gene

TFs regulating GTF2IRD2 0 TFs

Transcription factors with Perturb-seq knockdown data for GTF2IRD2. The Binding column indicates whether any binding evidence exists for this TF–gene pair (ChIP-seq or motif footprint peaks). The Mean coef is the average Perturb-seq regression coefficient across active gRNAs (positive = GTF2IRD2 upregulated upon KD; negative = downregulated). The Outlier column indicates whether this gene is in the top or bottom 5% of all TF knockdown effects.

Elements linked to GTF2IRD2

Open chromatin peaks (ATAC-seq) in the genomic neighbourhood of GTF2IRD2, linked by TSS proximity or chromatin conformation (Multiome / HiCAR). Each element overlaps at least one TF ChIP-seq binding site — the TFs column shows how many distinct TFs bind that element.
