FOXI1
forkhead box I1 | FREAC6, FKHL10

This gene belongs to the forkhead family of transcription factors, which is characterized by a distinct forkhead domain. This gene may play an important role in the development of the cochlea and vestibulum, as well as in embryogenesis. The encoded protein has been found to be required for the transcription of four subunits of a proton pump found in the inner ear, the kidney, and the epididymis. Mutations in this gene have been associated with deafness, autosomal recessive 4. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2017]

FOXI1 — as a Regulated Gene

TFs regulating FOXI1 0 TFs

Transcription factors with Perturb-seq knockdown data for FOXI1. The Binding column indicates whether any binding evidence exists for this TF–gene pair (ChIP-seq or motif footprint peaks). The Mean coef is the average Perturb-seq regression coefficient across active gRNAs (positive = FOXI1 upregulated upon KD; negative = downregulated). The Outlier column indicates whether this gene is in the top or bottom 5% of all TF knockdown effects.

Elements linked to FOXI1

Open chromatin peaks (ATAC-seq) in the genomic neighbourhood of FOXI1, linked by TSS proximity or chromatin conformation (Multiome / HiCAR). Each element overlaps at least one TF ChIP-seq binding site — the TFs column shows how many distinct TFs bind that element.
